Greetings to all,
Time for a large spring cleaning. I discovered under the fore cabin sole a cord which leads to the fore peak, passing under the central water tank. The invisible end is spring loaded. Does anyone know what that is for? Thanks.

Not sure what I'm looking at on the MK I. Your feet are at the mast step, and from there the image captures the shape of the hull moving towards the bow? Is the "dark rectangular wood" a compression post extending from the cabin sole to the cabin roof, meaning the mast is stepped on top of the cabin?

We have several chords running through various hull areas on our MK II. I assume these are to pull additional cabling. Rather than an invisible spring at the end, might you be feeling the chord stretch?
