Many unsatisfied Sherwood owners have installed. OBERDORFER with higher success for the same price. Replacing the impeller is much easier since it is removed from the front plate. Search for it on this site or visit the site on my signature. Replacing the seals is an easy job.
Thank you for your thoughtful replies. I currently use an Oberdorfer n202 908 and have a new 100% spare. I prefer the Sherwood pumps, your thoughts may be different. I'd welcome a discussion on the benifits of both pumps, but this may not be the venue.

The problem with this design is the replacement of the impeller. It is not possible to see what you are doing since you must insert from the back side. On Orberdorfer you replace the impeller from the front.
