Sherwood G908 rebuildable core

I'm looking to purchase a Sherwood G908 raw water pump re-buildable core, or complete pump.
Thanks,
Ray

Many unsatisfied Sherwood owners have installed. OBERDORFER with higher success for the same price. Replacing  the impeller  is much easier since  it is removed from the front plate. Search for it on this site or visit the site on my signature. Replacing the seals is an easy job.

The Sherwood design is the dumbest ever.  I'd fire the engineer who designed and the manager that approved it.

Thank you for your thoughtful replies.   I currently use an Oberdorfer n202 908 and have a new 100% spare.    I prefer the Sherwood pumps, your thoughts may be different.   I'd welcome a discussion on the benifits of both pumps, but this may not be the venue.
Best regards,
Ray

I'd hoping to find a used pump.

Hi,

I moved to #JPR-WB7108 JMP Marine Westerbeke Replacement Engine Cooling Seawater Pump (Replaces Westerbeke 42175, 042175, Sherwood G908, G903, Universal 302648, 302837) half price of the OEM and works great. They have modified the internal mechanism of the pump, all marine bronce,

Just a thought

  • The problem with this design is the replacement of the impeller. It is not possible to see what you are doing since you must insert from the back side. On Orberdorfer you replace the impeller from the front.
