Hi Peter,
Catalina Direct sells the entire fitting. See: Ladder LatchFor Swim Ladder (catalinadirect.com)
Hope this helps.

I'm going to try Plastisol dip. I checked out a few you tubes and this looks pretty easy. Just don’t use the gutter seal plastic stuff sold on tv....that apparently tends to drip easily. Among the tips I saw:
- gently stir can, don’t shake as may incorporate bubbles
- wipe off the material being coated with alcohol to degrease followed by warming with heat gun
- slowly and steadily pull out the product being coated
- plastic coating can and item being coated probably best done in temperature 70-80 F
- stay tuned, I’ll do a follow up comment on completion.
A lot cheaper than buying new latches.

Dipping them in tool insulation works well.
I used the Plasti-Dip product and they still look great 3 years later

G'day,
I found the best and cheapest solution for my boat was to slide over a large size of black heat shrink tubing and shrink it on.
It has been in place for the last 7 years and looks great.
cheers

Another vote for white Plastidip. Lasts for years.
