Macerator replacement question

The macerator on my 1995 Mark II appears to be original. It's currently locked up and popping the breaker. I've diagnosed it the unit is basically shot. So I'm going to replace it. I don't think I plan to change the original installation by very much. But I do have an initial question about how the macerator goes into the T coupling? Looking at it I see coming out of the macerator male threads going into the T coupling. I don't think the macerator comes with a male end on the input side. I'm curious if anybody could guide me in terms of figuring out how to get a male fitting on the input side of the macerator that would screw into the T? Thanks in advance.

I completely modified the original installation as connecting the macerator to the T with no room to flex caused the macerator bolt to break. I added a 4" hose to provide flexibility. Visit the website on my signature and see the related album images.

I presume you are sure there isn't a tampax in the macerator.  Same symptoms for me in the past.

When we first got our C36 a decade ago we had the macerator showed the same symptoms (wouldn't run, just popped the fuse).  Turned out there was a rag that had somehow gone through the head plumbing and was stuck in the macerator.  An highly unpleasant job taking apart and clearing the clog, but other than my stupidity of somehow reversing the polarity of the [non-color-coded] wires when iniitally re-installing (with some rather disagreeable consequences!), we've had no problems in the ensuing 10 years with the same macerator.

Yes, sometimes the impeller can seize and just needs to be 'broken free'....

Given all the horror stories about macerated leaking/clogging I went with a Whale Sewage pump.  It can pump stuff that will kill a normal pump.  No moving part except diaphragm and jokers in contact with the effluent

Hm.  Like the description, Leslie!  I suspect that Dexter could have saved himself a few garbage bags if he'd had one of those pumps on the "Slice of Life" off the coast of Miami..

Well I actually completed this project with little drama. Bought a replacement off Amazon and it bolted right up to original config. All is well again. I even figured out how to read the arrows on the Y valve in the process :-)
