I have dry fitted an Balmar 120amp alternator to my M35B. The belt that came with the J pulley set is touching the water pump hose. A longer belt may solve the problem. Has anybody else did this upgrade and did you come across this issue too?

I have the same engine with a 100 amp Balmar , serpintine belt, and an Oberdorfer pump, but the exact same problem. It was handled it as shown in the photos, by extending the nipples and running the hoses on the outside. Lots of room up front and havn't had any belt conflicts.
