Top Down Furler for Asym Spinnaker

Hi,

Has anyone rigged a Top Down Furler for an Asym Spinnaker on their C36?  I currently use a sock but I'm thinking of going to a Top Down Furler for easier sail handling and gybing (roll the spinnaker up for the gybe).  The Asym tack is attached to the anchor roller and flown inside the bow pulpit.  Cruising not racing.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Which one are you looking at ? I've used them on some race boats between 35' and 52'. They can be tricky buggers to roll

Not used a top-down roller furler, but was confused by your comment ... "The Asym tack is attached to the anchor roller and flown inside the bow pulpit."  If I remember correctly, the anchor roller is about a foot forward of the front of the pulpit rail.  I would think that a straight line from the roller, or the bail that is on the top, to the masthead would foul the pulpit rail.  I fly my sock A-sail outboard of the pulpit, but it has considerable bend under sail. How does your geometry work?

I haven't, but the current (January/February 2019) issue of Good Old Boat (just came in the mail) has a nice long article on top down furlers you might want to check out.
