When engine (MK35) is under load the water temp alarm sounds like a cricket. I have changed the sensor and the switch. I have also grounded the switch and the water temp warning light comes on. When I disconnect the switch, it doesn't make any difference..
Any ideas on this one would be of help.

A couple of questions. Does it only happen when under load? So if you sit there idling you can't hear the crickets? If you ground the temp switch, you should (according to the wiring diagram) get an audio alarm from the buzzer.
At this point I would think you have crickets in your alarm buzzer and it may need replaced. I would first check the positive power feed to the buzzer. The positive power feed should be labeled "P" on the buzzer and I would check that against a good known ground. Then I would check the ground signal you should be receiving at the alarm buzzer connector labeled "C".
