Hi all, I have implemented Captcha anti-spam verification for the forum. You may see it throughout the site. This is a pain in the behind to be sure, but hopefully less so than than the spam deluge we were suffering.

Thanks for the support .... but it's not really helping stop the spam!
Unbelieveable that the spammers are so persistent, they must have so much time on their hands.

The recent spam posting seems to be from created usernames that are defeating the robot test.
Many sites are now using a secure code login that emails a one use code that must be entered before login is allowed. Not sure what is needed to implement that but it could help. The first step though would be to keep them from creating an account at all. I know this all must be a major pain for the site admins so if a little extra effort for members to login would help reduce that burden I think it is acceptable.

There is a way you might be able to assist, would you be willing?

Gary: Sure - if I'm gonna complain - the least I could do is offer to help. I haven't been very active on the site for a while - but I'm working on that issue too. Let me know what I can do!
