foredeck deadlight replacement on MK1

One of the foredeck deadlights on our MK1 has been leaking. The interior lense has a crack, and the outer lens has been leaking. Thus the forward berth gets wet.

I purchased the deadlight repair kit from CatalinaDirect
http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm/product/1321/deadlight-repair-ki... )

Now, time to get the old one out, and the new one in.

A P.O. has evidently removed and resealed the interior lens with silicone sealant.

How best to remove and reseal the new lens on the inside and on the deck?

CatalineDirect recommends their sealant (see the link above). I didn't think to order that when I bought the repair kit. Is there something else I can use, or should I order the "marine adhesive sealant?" Or is this some form of 3M product I can buy at the hardware/marine supply store?

Photos are of the exterior and inside deadlight.

Thanks, Gary. I had a hunch it would be 4200.
Any good tips for cleaning up the residue of whatever was used before, or will it make any difference to the adhesion of the 4200? I planned to use acetone, but there is/was a lot of silicone sealant used to attach the lens on the berth ceiling.
