Engine coolant pump seized, kubota part numbers?

Just as we were about to leave the dock yesterday, our engine coolant water pump just completely seized.   (not the fresh water impeller, but rather the antifreeze pump)  It created an unforgettable squealing noise from the fan belt and smoke as it rounded the stopped pulley, and I had the admiral pull the engine stop immediately.   There were new rusty water/antifreeze drips on the absorbent pad in the bilge, but the failure came without warning and I was glad it happened before we left the slip.   I haven't pulled it yet, but I'm certain the shaft bearing is toast.  Anyway, do any of you have a suggestion of a good kubota dealer online and what part number I need for an M-25  (this is a MK-1 boat, so it's the old M-25 not M-25xp)  I don't want to buy the Universal part and pay the boat tax for a tractor part.

Thanks,

Ellsworth

Messick's

You'll need your engine block model number, it likely is in the Owner's Encyclopedia on the main website.

Members-> Encyclopedias on the menu at the top of the page.

Edit:

Found It

Regarding the fresh water coolant pump; please see my post from last year:  http://www.catalina36.org/comment/53499#comment-53499

There are two versions of this pump, depending on diameter of pump's metal impeller.

My Kubota part number was 16241-73034 ...

I found a new 15534-73030 water pump on ebay for $55 that is for the D850 - (M-25) and looks right.  Heading down to the boat this afternoon to slap it on.

Thanks!

Well as Luck would have it I had a similar day today water pump seized at least I was still in the slip if it’s got to break that is the place you want it to happen. My engine is a M25 also I looked up the replacement pump you purchased on eBay  just was wondweing if you installed it yet and did it fit ok?

Thanks for any help you can provide

Hi Pat,  The pump was a perfect fit, and no problems at all.   We've put about 2 hours on it already.   I didn't paint mine because I didn't have any paint handy at the time, but you might want to grab a can of the Universal engine paint or rustoleum and spray it before installing it.
