Help with engine parts

I have a 2002 C36 MKII, hull # 2087. The engine is Universal M 35 BC. Is this different from a M 35 B. I have tried to look up parts such as raw water pump impeller, a Sherwood pump but couldn't find part #'s. I'm probably not looking in the right places, but I have tried several hours.
Thanks for any help to a new member.

My understanding that the stock pump is a Sherwood G-908. Some folks switch over to the Oberdorfer N202M-16 when it's time for a major rebuild, but it does require some modifications to the pump to make it fit.

PClayton...

You don't indicate where you are located (you may want to check out other postings to see how people show where they are and the specifics of their vessels...it helps in providing advice) but I'm in New Jersey and the Universal distributor for us is in Massachusetts, Hansen Marine (Hansenmarine.com). I've found them very helpful with parts. They can probably tell you what you need or will send you schematics to help you ID what you need.

I strongly recommend using original Universal parts rather than after-market replacements.

Hansen is at 781-631-3282. When I order, I get the parts in 3 days or less. If your not in the NE, google universal westerbeak and you can find your local distributor.

This page of the Owner's Encyclopedia

http://www.c36ia.com/node/1081

which is available on the right side menu on the main C36IA website will give you a list of part numbers for some common engine parts including the impeller for the G908. I have been using the Sherwood 9000K impeller and have never had a problem with it.

My understanding is that the 'C' designation denotes it was built for Catalina. As far as I know, the only thing you need to cite is the M-35B model number.
