brookhouse NMEA mulitplexor

I am considering purchasing a multiplexer along with a iMux wifi device that will allow my wind, depth and knotmeter to interface to my ipad, i believe it will also allow connection to and from the X5 autopilot that i have. any one have any experience good or bad with bookhouse or any of their products?

I know the arguments about Ipads not being as robust as dedicated chartplotters but i have been using mine for sometime with a lifepruf cover and it has worked well to this point. I have iNavX as a navigation tool and that seems to work well and it has the ability to interface with the sailing instruments.

If you get it working, consider adding IRegatta to your Ipad. It adds a lot of functions that make sailing more efficient and fun.

The big boat I sail on added a DMK box to create a wifi setup and IRegatta is a great addition to the Ipad.

Absolutely Mike, if you can do that and send it to either myself or Steve Frost that would make a great article for the tech library on the website.
