Help! My mixing elbow is shot, rusted through above the hump hose and leaking. on our C 36 2000 model with a M35 B Universal/Westerbeke.
What would the part number be and where would one order one from.
The hump hose is 6" long blue in color with # 272 V USA.
The manifold has a # 2004 25 REVA.
We live in Australia. Thanks for any input.

M 35B Mixing Elbow
I guess there are not too many C 36 owners had problems or replacement projects with their mixer elbows. On removing my mixer elbow and after cleaning it up with a wire brush I find it is not corroded, instead cracked and appears to have been cracked for quite a spell. I only have 820 hrs.on the Westerbeke. I am still searching the web endeavoring to find a replacement mailed/freighted to Australia. Any input from you C 36 buffs would be appreciated.

try Catalina Direct pretty sure they stock or can get them.
Don't overlook local sources. You might find a near-by welding or machine shop willing to fabricate a replacement. I did and recall paying $165US for a SS replacement a couple years ago.
Where are you (city/town)? Just curious - nothing to do with your question.

Thank you fellow C 36 owners for your input re- the mixer elbow. I have several channels now to follow. I am located in a marina in Queensland Australia, the region is known as the Sunshine Coast.

It is probably easier to use a local fabricator. Catalina & Catalina Direct usually need you to send the part to them so that it can be matched. I had a local fabricator in Long Beach make me a new one for my Mexico cruise and had the original, which was still in fair shape, cleaned up as a spare. Engine hours at the time were about 740. On another note, I had to add a piece of wood to the bottom of the Aft Cabin shelf to raise it about three quarters of an inch so the raw water hose from the engine was clear of the underside of the shelf. I had this issue with the original mixing elbow. Not sure if Catalina made the shelf lower than it should have been, but it has always been pretty tight. I am much happier with the improved clearance without the possibility of the hose chaffing on the underside of the shelf plus the hose has a much better curve to it.
