My original water heater, a Seward S600, is in need of replacement. Does anyone have any experience doing this, and it the S600 the best replacement to go with?
Thanks

Rich,
This has been written up at least once, complete with pix. Easiest to go with an exact replacement.

It is super easy to do, The write up in the C36IA is awesome and easy to follow.
Take your time and everything goes smoothly I will tell youo this, that when I went to replace the tank I ordered a Force 10 (original SEAWARD) with ALMOST SAME DIA., as I said ALMOST the 1/4" in height would not allow it to fit.
If you take a Seaward out replace it with a Seaward. Which was my case

One other quick note, I ordered the Stainless Steel one, the first one from the factory was Galv. which they still make, and you can purchase, but for a couple extra bucks Stainless Steel was the way to go.
Hope this helps
Good Luck
