Hello,
I recently joined the club/organization and can not seem to reach any of the people on the fleet director or officers directory. Is this legit? I paid for a 3 year membership.
I am hoping to reach someone in the Chesapeake area. I heard that there is a cutlass bearing puller than can be borrow amongst members.
Thanks in advance!
Brian

Hello Brian, I'll guess many of the members are trying to thaw out from winter storms. I'm a recent member - 2 years, mostly here for the forum, tech articles and library. I heard there was a loaner cutlass removal tool a while back but I think the message was that it is missing.
Where are you on the Chesapeake? I'm up in North East, MD in the summer months, down south during the winters.
When you create a signature block add the year of your boat, hull number and homeport, it becomes helpful over time when asking or answering questions.
all the best,

Denis,
Thanks for the reply!
So happy to hear from someone and more excited to see we are neighbors!
Per your advice, I added a signature so, as you can see we are in Havre De Grace! Looking forward to connecting further this year!

Hi Brian,
I'm a new member too. Just a few months in. Located in south Alabama I'm nowhere near you, but wanted to say hi. Compared to some of the RV forums I've been in, this does seem to be a quiet group overall. I have posted questions and have gotten good answers and am looking good forward to learning here.

Brian, I'm also on the North East River. Belong to NERYC and have been sailing out of there since 2018. I'll be looking for you this coming season as we sail near Turkey Point.

Hi Brian,
The organization's a bit thin on people at the moment. Most officers have left for one reason or another and we've so far been unable to find people who want to take on the roles. If anyone has interest in being an officer please let me know. There are some former officers around who I believe would be happy to get new people up to speed.
Last I heard about the cutlass bearing tool was that the last person did not return it. This was the last I heard from the previous toolbox officer. I asked for more information including who had any of the other tools and didn't hear anything back.
The Fleet Directory has a form to email a Chesapeake Bay area fleet contact, but not sure how up to date that might be. There may also be a general Catalina group in the Chesapeake. Out here in the Pacfic Northwest there are a couple Catalina rendezvous that happen, but I haven't seen any Catalina 36/375 events.
