Hi all
Noticed coolant leaking near radiator cap. Upon closer inspection, it seems putty was used to seal part of the brass radiator fill port to the iron manifold. I recall the PO telling me a mechanic stepped on it. I did not realize this was repaired. Repair must have been there awhile and had not seemed to leak before now
I realize the right way is to remove the manifold and take it to a shop.
Unsurprisingly I'm leaning towards cleaning this up and going at it with more putty.
The boat was fresh water only until 2021 so rust and crud is not an issue yet.
Your thoughts on replacing the putty and hoping for the best?
Thanks in advance.
