Hello everyone,
We are repowering with a new Beta 30 within the next few weeks. I've been informed by beta that their heat risers won't fit in The 36(or 34 and 30 for that matter).
They said one needs to be built by the engine installer.
Has anyone had to do this before? Have any suggestions. I'm thinking of asking the mechanic to build it out of Bronze so I dont have to worry about corrosion as much, any thoughts?
Thanks for the help
Paul
A lot of owners build exhaust risers out of schedule 80 black pipe. For universal diesels the pipe size is 1.25". Here is a link with details: https://www.catalina36.org/forum/technical-discussion/exhaust-riser-rebuild

If it were me I'd do it in stainless. Much cheaper and still last as long as you own the boat.

And you can fabricate it yourself (or your installer ) out of Schedule 80 seamless stainless threaded pipe and pipe fittings.
