One Final Anchor Locker Leak Fixed

Hopefully this will be my last, but this one was subtle, so I though I'd be nice and post.

There is a sort of rain gutter that runs around the top of the anchor locker which theoretically drains at the bow area. It appears that Catalina mis-designed the rain gutter a bit. On certain angles of heel if it's raining or lots of seawater is splashing onto the anchor locker... or if it's raining and the boat is heeled a bit due to wind or weight distribution, the water dribbles down the aft port or starboard side of the rain gutter, i.e. bypassing the rain gutter altogether. Due to capillary action, I suppose, the water then dribbles into these little hose covered with screen at the aft upper port and starboard sections of the anchor locker. These are hard to see. They are way back up in there.

On my boat, the propane line goes through one of these holes - the one on the port side, so it was easy for me to recognize that I needed to seal that one....but on the starboard side, I didn't originally see the hole covered with black screen there. You can see it in the upper middle of the pic attached. This is NOT the black 3M 4000 blob on the right side of the pic. It's the tiny u-shaped black spot in the upper center.

Now that I've sealed that hole with 3M 4000, my bunk is nice and dry, even after some very heavy rains recently.

Happy Times :)
