Drip on transmission drain plug

Ny transmission drain plug has a small drip. I talked to Harbor Marine in Everett Wa ,they have rebuilt lots of transmissions and he said Hurth sent new steel washers so will buy buy them on Monday . He also suggested putting permatex on both sides of washer. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do?

My understanding is that it is a one-time crush washer. I have avoided draining from below and use a syringe to remove the fluid from the top.

Thanks I will check if there is one for it . the one that came with the new transmission was metal, not copper crush washer. I can put a small pan under the transmission and get every thing out with out any mess
