Hi all, my boat has a keyless ignition installed. You just pull on a knob and hold down a switch for the glow plug. However, I found an ignition that requires a key (complete with two spare keys) in the boat's tool locker. I was just wondering if anybody has experience with both, and your thoughts about the relative merits/demerits of both systems.

No one's gonna steal your boat 'cuz it doesn't have a key unless you're one of those folks who leaves his 1-2-B switch ON to run a fridge 24/7. No key is a much easier system.

I like the keyless option.
I have a separate engine power switch under the chart table, which would stop anybody walking up and starting the engine and taking the boat off.
