Windlass for my C36 hull#216

Allo everybody
My question is! how to install a windlass on my boat?
I have a 65'of chain 5/16 and a cqr 45 lbs. I will use a lewmar profish 1000
My chain locker has 2 panels. I will put the battery under the berth. But the problem is where do I put the windlass (on the deck I guess)?

Thanks to aloof you
And sorry for my poor english

Do you have a single or double anchor locker door?

Double: see http://www.c34.org/projects/projects-anchor-windlass-apache.html

I'm sure you C36 folks have windlass installation projects documented.

I installed a Lewmar 1000 pro series in my 1989 about 5 years ago, and have been very happy with it. It is built with an aluminum frame that bears on the existing anchor roller frame. One of the advantages of this approach is that I did not have to do any major cutting or modifying the boats fiberglass structure.

The top of the windlass is below the anchor locker door, so the deck remains clear.

Your configuration is different than mine, but you might be able to design something similar to fit your boat.
