Shower Drain Pump

I finally got around to checking out the shower draiin pump in the head. I turned the circuit breaker on the board for the pump, filled up the area on the sole of the head with water and waited, and waited. Nothing happened - nothing. I am wondering if I have a pump that is inoperative or if there is an inline fuse somewhere. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Before I troubleshoot by following the wires or Thanks in advance.

Just curious, Generally their is a seperate switch for the shower sump located in the head, was that activated?

I would get out the volt meter first and look to see if you were getting power there before I started pulling up floor boards. If there is power to the pump and it isn't working, see if it is clogged with hair or something. If it is clear, has power and still nothing, then you have a new project on your "to-do" list.
After reading this, you ALREADY have a project. It just becomes a different project

Yeah, I turned that switch on; however when I messed with that switch I discovered that is the culprit; it has a short in in. Bingo!

Even though our head compartments are fairly roomy, it can still be dificult to remove your shorts in there, be careful.

The head on this boat seems huge compared to what we had on the 28. It was tiny, was best to remove the shorts prior to entering. Made for interesting entertainment with company on board when outside the head prep could not be done. The thumps and bangs coming from the head followed by colourful language said it all.
