Calibrating a tach

I have read many posts on calibrating tachs, including the one here on the 36 site using the fluorescent lights, but I have not found where to adjust the tach to the correct reading.

My tack reads about 2700 WOT in neutral and about 2600 under full load.

I believe it should be 3000 in neutral (M25) not XP

So where do you make the adjustment? Is there a potentiometer on the back of the tach or do you add or sub track resistors or what?

My tack is driven from the alt.

Bob,
I just did a search for "tach" on the website, and came up with five hits. One of them is an article showing and describing how to do it.

It's amazing what this website contains if you just look a little!!!
