Web site changes

Is there a way I can edit the type size and the text color?

I find the type size uncomfortably small and the text color a gray rather than a black.

My old eyes prefer a larger, higher contrast, text.

Thank You

Bill - you can change your text size and color settings in your browser to override the web site defaults.  If you use Internet Explorer use the zoom or internet options menus under settings to adjust the font size and colors.  I use Firefox and the font settings are under the "Hamburger menu" upper right corner - (three horizontal lines). Changing the fonts also changes the layout of the page a little to fit things in your browser.
On a side note - are you in the water yet?  We are waiting for the weather to warm some.

Bill, you can also hold the control key and hit the + key, each time you hit the + key the screen will become larger. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the web site zoom tips.

I know I can zoom it myself, I just want to know why I should have to?
Am I the only one who hates the small, gray, type?

Not in the water till May 29.  I had to come out early last year so I am tucked deep into the storage building.  I 'll have to wait till they can get the other boats out first.
It was planned for this year, my marina has a 1/3 of the slips being replaced this spring, my slip is one of those scheduled to be replaced.

So I am busying myself with a list of new projects that I have been working on most of the winter.

The projects are coming along nicely and I'm beginning to start to pack my plastic containers. I hit a snag when a nmea cable I bout from ebay turned out to be not the cable I ordered.  I'm adding AIS to my Raymarine Chartplotter.

I assume everyone is doing the same thing.

Hi Bill,

I tend to agree that the default font is too small and the color too light. But there just haven't been the tuits to do anything about it. In the first place, am a software engineer, not really a designer, and that fact combined with the complexity of the platform our website runs on, makes it difficult and time-consuming for me to address design and themeing issues. Secondly, the site requires tending and maintenance on the backend, with software security updates, the e-commerce system, user management, Membership management, etc etc, so when I have time for anything it is usually that.

FWIW I've been running the site for going on five years now and am a little burned out. I've noticed in some recent threads that some newer Members have commented on website stuff, with some even appearing to indicate that they work with the same platform professionally. It would be really nice if we could begin the transition to a new caretaker or team of caretakers, and chances are among them we would find some design expertise ...

Cheers,

Nick
