First the quick question: Having installed the 90 amp Leece-Neville alternator, what do I now do with the harness wires that went to the old oem "Sense" "Excite" posts? Tie them off? Tie them to 12v? Thanks.
I know I'll need to clean up the engine harness with it's orphan wires and corrosion behind the panel (a circuit board out in the damp salt air?!?!). And judging from the rest of the boat, the harness hasn't had the upgrade yet either. There's just too much else to do first.
Meanwhile I'm almost done with the cabin & switch panel & power re-wiring. I think the 2/0 cable is overkill personally. But it's done. (going to the 1-All-2 switch, the current path gets "bottle necked" down to #4 cable anyway... or the panel would never close).
Here's how it's shaping up:
Lighted switches ;-) and GFCI outlet.
