Storm Jib Question

What size of a storm jib is recommended for a tall rig Catalina 36?

It turns out I have a brand new storm jib left over from my Catalina 30. It has a luff of 23 feet, Leach of 17'10" and foot measures 9'10".

While I'm not certain I want to be out in conditions where I'd need a storm jib, I'm thinking if this isn't a bad size for a C36, maybe I should keep it rather than sell it.

I'd hang on to it personally. It's better than nothing, and erring on the side of too little sail area during a storm usually isn't a bad thing. Just my 2 cents!

If you go to any sailmaker's site;ie, Hood,Ulman, etc. they have deminsions for storm sails. I'm sure www.sailrite.com will have measurements. I agree with keep it, will it fit your furling gear, if not any good sail loft can modify it.
