Last year I decided to move up from a 22 lb. Delta anchor to a 35 lb. one for better holding power.
The larger anchor fit fine on the anchor roller, but the longer shank sometimes chipped the gelcoat on the stbd side of the anchor roller. (My safety tie rope biases the shank to the stbd side, and in heavy seas, the shank can bounce now and then.)
I finally got tired of repairing the gelcoat chips and went to my local welder / fabricator and had hime make me a small right angled protector piece out of thin stainless steel. I secured it to the gelcoat corner with adhesive and now think my gelcoat chips are history.
