Hi all,

New members here :)  We appear to have misplaced a spreader base casting from our newly-acquired 1993 C36 somewhere between MI and NY.  Catalina Direct says they've discontinued the part Z2556 and are replacing it with a new part...12-weeks from now.  I'm trying CD tech support today to see what can be done and we have a couple riggers looking thru their dusty collections of stuff. 

That said, if you know a summer-saving workaround for a missing spreader base, we and our boat would be most appreciative.

Update...we found it under the marina mast rack and we are very grateful.  That said, as of right now Catalina Direct is not making a new run of these at all.  Tech support says they would need to order 200 to make it worthwhile to restock.  Couple riggers said a good machinist can probably make these.  Someone else suggested rigrite and someone else suggested a salvage yard.  We've left our names on the 'interested' list at CD when they do finally make a run of them.
