Shower Sump Check Valve Question

Hey All,

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered.  In our 2003 C36 MKii, I've noticed lately that when running my shower sump pump some water drains back into the sump.  Not a lot...but noticeable.  Couple questions:

1) Does this set up have a one way check valve downstream from the pump?  I've traced the hose from the sump pump all the way to the sink drain tee at the seacock...but don't see it.  Perhaps it's under the floor?  I do see an anti-siphon inverted "U" in the cabinet over the head near the holding tank stanchion vent, but no valves.

2) If there is a valve, what is the diameter?  The drain line looks to be 3/4" ID, but not 100% sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best Regards,

Kurt

My boat 1990 does not have a check valve and there is nothing under the floor other than wiring for the pump. By your description I would guess that is pretty much the same across Catalina 36 unless previous owner made a change.
