Roller Furling Mast - Wind Instrument Installation - anyone?

I am concerned that to do this installation correctly, that the mast needs to be pulled.  Here are my concerns:

1. The diagram for the spar shows the conduit inside the front of the mast that is used to run the cables has a break/gap just above the spreaders.  It would seem to be challenging to navigate with the mast in.

2. Access to the bottom of the mast to get the cable out.  To be honest, I haven't really figured out how the cables are exiting the mast.  I see them coming into the forward part of the bilge but can't see where they pop out of the mast.  Even if  could see, i would not be able to access.

Curious if anyone has managed to run these cables with the mast up.  Having to pull the mast would make this rather expensive.

Did it on my re rig. First, yes unstep the mast no way your going do it up, much easier flat.  Wires exit at rear of mast at base then to bilge.  As for wire, you could fish a line down conduit using electricians wire fish. Other way is use old wire to lead new wire through conduit.  Very easy job once mast is on saw horses.

Thanks for the feedback.

So no one has done this with the mast up?  That's a real bummer.

I installed radar with the mast up, but it was a standard mast, MkI, dinette interior, and I didn't run the wire in the conduit. The mast wiring exited the mast from a 1.5" hole near the  base of the mast, and all wires were attached to terminal blocks at that location.  My wind instrument wire went thru the masthead fitting in a 1/4" hole, so obviously the lower fitting was cut off. Using the current wire as a messenger would be doable if the top hole is big enough. Without a messenger I think you need to drop the mast. Sorry.
