On a fine windy day, I lost my ignition key into the sea. I had a second, so all was fine. I set out to replace the key and found it impossible to make at the key shops I tried. They just could not find or order the two sided blank. Catalina direct offers a new ignition switch with two new keys. But that left the obvious for those who do the math.
Then in Mexico one day, I asked a locksmith if he could make one. Yes, he said, and he did....from a one sided blank labled: True Value Y11.....wow! It turns out that it only works well if inserted one way....it is stiff the other. But it works!!!
To those who prefer the security of 3 or more keys....I leave this story
