I have an m25xp. I purchased a combination oil pressure sender/switch, but it doesn't fit in place of the current switch. It is too fat to fit between the starter and the coolant tank. Is there a sender/switch combo that fits in that space? Or is there a readily available adapter (extender pipe) that will allow me to use the new sender/switch? Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

I am not sure what you mean by sender/switch. I only have a switch. Do you have a guage at the capitain's console that indicates oil pressure similar to a car? If so, you should be able to find an extension or an adaptor that resolves the problem.

Google part VDO 360 009. It has 2 terminals. One is a switch, the other sends specific pressure information for a pressure gauge. Ultimately I plan to add the appropriate hardware to route engine information to my Raymarine i70 through the SeatalkNG backbone.

On my early M25 universal put the OP switch centered on the trans just fwd of the heat exchanger. It uses a rubber hose hose clamps and barbed fittings to get from the location your describing. So I suppose you can extend it with a hose. I’ve seen pictures of folks installing “T”’s and short length of 1/8 ” pipe to extend - most of these break because of vibration and weight. And most break right at the block making it difficult to remove the piece still in the block.
If if it was me I’d route hose like the M25 out and build a bracket out of 1” aluminum angle to hang off the exhaust manifold.
I have the 360 009 on Mahalo it works well.
