Need a new fuel pump

10 day cruise on the Chesapeake Bay resulted in the fuel pump going bad. I retrofitted a 12 volt automobile fuel pump, to keep us going, but want to get the correct type reinstalled on the M-35 universal.

Anyone got some good ideas where to purchase?  Is the p/n 301385 still available?  I also need new connectors to connect the fuel lines to the pump, as the old ones were cracked when disconnecting.

Thanks for for your help.

I'm not on the boat right now so I can't confirm the part number. However, we replaced ours 2 years ago with a spare carried on board. I believe it is a generic diesel pump that is readily available. I got a new one off eBay. What about Amazon or even NAPA? Give a make and part number and it will find a replacement. Nothing special about Universal.

We bought a Facet Fuel from a company called 'Aircraft Spruce'. It was substanialy less expensive than NAPA for the same pump. NAPA was $140.00 Aircraft Spruce was $75.00
Aircraft Spruce is a company that sells parts to folks who build their own aircraft.
Not sure what engine you have but we have the M-35. I'll look around for the Facet/Puralator number and post it here.

Chuck,
Thank you so much for the info.  My searches did not get to this site.  It was nice the pump is the complete kit, i.e., nuts, washers, elbows, etc.  I just ordered it.

Bill,
Thanks for the info.  That pump looks the same, and I will print off specs of the pump.
