I tried searching in the technical section but when I used mast and step I got a lot of hits. I unstepped my mast and have purchased a new piece that the mast is stepped on below in the main cabin. My question is what if anything do i set the lag bolt into? the fiber glassed block of wood below the mast step seem to mostly in good shape and i would like to keep it that way so i want to minimize
the amount of water that is introduced by the water as it runs down the inside of the mast. if there is a discussion of this somewhere i would gladly reference it if some one can tell me how i might go about that.
