Mast filling with water and leaking out the wiring holes

New problem on my Catalina 36 MKII, it was raining heavily and I heard a sound of running water and saw a nice flow spurting out the hole in the side of the mast.  I saw the thread water, water everywhere ... seems to be the same problem.

The challenge is that I do not see how this ever drained, as I have not been able to find a hole drilled in the mast.  The aft port corner in the picture will drain to the bilge but the water seems to have no path out of the mast.  The mast still has a few inches of water that has not leaked out.

This is the mast step for the C36 from Catalina Direct. I believe it is designed to drain water via the 4 channels which you can see in the photo and then into your bilge through four drain holes in the cabin floor surrounding the base. These channels in your step must be clogged. If you can locate them and run a coat hanger to clear it and the drain holes in your floor it may solve your problem. Best of luck!
