M35A & B Oberdorfer Raw Water Pump Article in JibSheet

How many Forum participants here have found the great Oberdorfer Raw Water Pump Conversion article in the latest JibSheet, written by Randy Sherwood and Nile Schneider??? Lots of detailed photos of the process. Especially considering the stock pump has apparently gone out of production that article's gonna save a lot of owners a LOT of money. AND make the impeller accessible from the front.

Is JibSheet worthwhile or not?

BTW, does everybody know the easy way to get to our home page??? Just click in the blue strip, lower right corner of this page: Catalina 36 International Association.

Larry
Was this addition just mailed out? I'm not sure if i still get the Mainsheet! I look forward to see this because we may need a new pump shortly.

I saw it, just more proof of what a great group this is. Excellent work by the folks involved, both in doing projects like this and in getting the info out there via Jibsheet.

I was lucky enough to find a brand new Sherwood pump this year at a reasonable price ($265) but I am going to get an Oberdorfer and do the conversion. The ease of changing impellers alone is worth it, to say nothing of the cost and availability factors.

Wilf,
JibSheet is not mailed to anyone. JibSheet is an E-Newsletter exclusively for C36/375IA members. On Saturday morning I sent an email to every member, announcing the fact that the newest issue of JibSheet was posted on our website. If you didn't get the email, check in your spam folder. To see the current issue (and all past issues), click on the JibSheet tab on the home page. Enjoy!

PS-If you are not sure about the status of your membership (and if you should be receiving Mainsheet), you can easily check that on the home page, too. When you log in on the home page, the third "box" on the right will show your current membership status, and the number of days left in your membership. If that info doesn't show up, you are not a member, and you should join immediately!!! :-)

Larry, I agree that the subject article was one of the most detailed I have had the pleasure of seeing. When I get a "round tuit" I hope to do something like that for my engine.

What an incredible resource we have in our sharing of information and the vehicles (web site, Mainsheet and JibSheet) to do it!

I was not familiar with the "Jibsheet", but I am now. That was a great article and well worth membership just on that one item. I did the Sherwood / Oberdorfer change out on my previous M25XP (C-30) and this article would have been very helpful.

I kept my Sherwood G908 and had it rebuilt by DEPCO pump. I really don't need it as a backup on Lake Lanier, so if someone wants an extra Sherwood G908 at a good price, just shoot me an e-mail.
