I recently installed 100Watt solar panel and Victron Charger. The charger must be setup to charge the appropriate battery type. The manufacturer of the charger directed me in getting this data from the battery manufacturer. I have contacted the battery manufacturer, but no luck in obtaining the charging data sheets.
The battery is flooded 4D Lead Acid. How are you dealing with this data. Have you had any luck in having the battery manufacturer send you this data sheet? If you have one for a similar battery can you email me a copy?

Lead Acid Battery Charging Rate
What is the brand name on the battery? Model#? Most 4D batteries with the Exception of Dyno & Rolls are not deep cycle batteries..
What is a Deep-Cycle Battery?

Hi There, I did the exact same thing last spring for my lead acid 4Ds--even using a Victron Charger, though I installed 300 Watts Solar on top of my davits. Luckily, I got through to an engineer at Deka/Penn and he advised via a phone conversation that it is extremely important to set up the charging parameters correctly on these chargers for lead acid batteries. If not, they burn up...
Here is his email to me and the files you'll need to determine what the parameters to use.
John,
This is the operations manual for your flooded battery along with a graph I go off by for how deep you can go before you have that battery die. The farther you deep use your battery, specially flooded, the less life you will get. Follow those charging parameters I shared with you to the tee.

Thank you Stray1234, that is exactly what I was looking for. I am going to change the settings.
At first it all appears to be complicated, but once the info is made available it all makes sense.
Thanks for taking time to help me.
