I have a 1984 C36. The fuel guage is permanently on 'full'. How do I get into the tank to check the electrics and the floater device to get it working again?

Owner of a Mk 1 C36 Hull # 379 commissioned December 1984.
Fin keel, standard rigging.
Boat is based in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada, where you will find one of the finest cruising areas in the world.
In my 1999 Mk II, there are two deck access holes in the port locker, one gives you access to the fuel shut off valve and the other to the fuel gauge sending unit. Hope this helps!

Sailorjo,
i have an 84 model #226 and the fuel tank is located under the aft section of the dinnette, the sensor should be just to port of the walkway, just lift the cushion and there is a plywood insert that you lift up, looking down on the fuel tank the sensor will be to the left. there should be 4/5 bolts that you can remove to get at the sensor. if you can provide you email address i can send you a document that i got from catalina to check where the fault is at.
regards,
Mike
