Forward Trapezoidal Hatch Leak

I'm a total novice when it comes to fixing boats, but you gotta start somewhere, right? Anyway, my forward trapezoidal hatch was leaking in a couple of places, so we rebedded it. Unfortunately, it was still leaking after we rebedded it as one of the leaks was coming through the starboard friction hinge. The water was coming through two holes (rivets?) in the hinge that apparently connect it to the hatch frame (you have to open the hatch all the way to see them). All I could think about was how much it was going to cost to replace the hatch (which I will most certainly do...someday). However, I just as certainly did not want to spend that kind of money right now! So as a last ditch measure, and with nothing to lose, I jammed a recently used tube of Life Caulk up those two holes and pressure squeezed as much of the stuff as I could. (See the before and after pictures below). I dumped some water around the hatch frame a couple of days later. No leak. Keeping my fingures crossed, I shot a pressure washer directly at it a couple days after that. Not one drop. Hopefully it will allow me to get away with not having to replace the hatch for a couple of years, which will free up my pocket book for other projects.

Can someone make (or tell me how to make) my pictures work above? If you right click on them and select properties, the correct source address to the pictures will appear, but for some reason they will not display.

Thanks--Joel S.

UPDATE: Put up URL's to pictures instead--JAS

Joel, you can attach pictures directly to your post fairly simply. When you click the Post Reply button you get a page to write your post in, if you scroll down that page you will see a button marked "Manage Attachments". You click that and you get a pop up that will let you select files to attach from your computer. That will embed a thumbnail of each image in your post which when clicked on shows the full size image.

There are limits on size I believe about 320 Kb or so? So if you want to use a big picture the way you did it is the only way.
