Does anyone know where to get a tiller head for the MKII? The one on Catalina Direct explicitly says it only fits through hull 1039 (1989). Both the head and tiller have been missing from our boat since we purchased it last year.

Erik,
You might want to investigate having one made by a local metal shop. The one we had made for hull # 1041 had a considerably longer shaft (floor to tiller handle) than the factory unit supplied that came with the boat. When you consider how this tiller is to be used in an emergency situation, you'll find the factory supplied 'emergency tiller's handle is too short to fit around the binnicle and not at all effective.
If you would like, I'll be down at the boat this afternoon and will make some measurments for you. The cost was less than $100.00

Thanks guys. Catalina yachts Florida had one in stock and I had it on my door step in under 48 hours. I was wrong, there is no tiller head, just bolt through rudder tube that fits a slot in the tiller
