CNG Tank refill - swap in Seattle?

Folks - any ideas where I can get my CNG tanks refilled in Seattle?

I had no idea this service was much less available in Seattle than in Canada (BC) where we've been able to exchange CNG tanks in multiple places on our trips north.

Looks like there are a couple in Seatle that are public use.

Thanks Ken - these are stations where taxis and other can fill vehicel CNG tank which would require me to make up Tom's clever adapter (compelte with turning the thread on the brass fitting as he describes).

Here is the link to a map which shows locations where marine CNG tanks can be swapped.

I reside mostly on the C34 message board. About yearly we see similiar posts about getting the CNG tanks filled. It seems to be getting harder to find places to do it. After you get your immediate needs taken care of, it might be a good idea to get one of the adapters made up for next time. Then you have the option of the taxi stand or swap out.

I contacted the Clean Energy Company, whose "technical specialist" assessed the Tom Sokoloski CNG adapter as follows:

"We do not allow filling of CNG cylinders at our sites that are not secured to a vehicle, the set up you have will not work as all components must have a 5000psi rating and in the picture the components do not look like they do. "

Clean Energy is the company that administers most of the CNG vehicle filling stations around the Seattle area.

Pesonally, I think this is a subjective opinion that stems from someone looking for a reason not to help.

Sorry, I can't help being cynical about this.

Glenn,
I believe that the written instructions (parts list) for the CNG Adapter specifically state that all parts must be rated for 5000 psi. I think your cynicism is justified.
