Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has ever experience antifreeze leaking from the thermostat and fresh water pump. When originally buying the boat, I knew the gasket on the thermostat housing was way over due, but when going to the boat after the winter, I noticed more leaking than I've seen before and a clear gel like substance bubbling on the back side of the fresh water pump (see photo).
I've posted before and after pictures (brushed clean and cleared chipping paint) and will be going back in the next week to see where the accumulation is coming from and will also replace the gaskets.
Has anyone ever encountered such an antifreeze leak ?

After cleaning and flushing the system, there is no gel to be found and what came out was green, dirty but freeflowing. I was also able to isolate the leak to the gasket and the little gel that was on the surface seems to be from the antifreeze sitting or mixing with debris once it leaked out.
The issue now is getting the broken and heavily coroded bolts out despite my efforts to avoid them from snapping ...
