(And yes; I’m one of those “adorable” new owners)

Hello everyone - thanks for the easy inclusion on the forum. My wife (Maureen) and I recently acquired a C36 MK1 in Bayfield, WI - I raced and learned sailing a number of years back on Catalinas and have always favored the breed.  As such, now we are owners, are thrilled, expect stumbles, and all that comes with proper sailing.

The hull is badly oxidized (tackling that this week), the dripless is dripping, the smile is manageable, and the learnings are ample.  Please bear with me/us as we post and ask, and hopefully contribute.

Looking forward to the journey with y’all -
Erik

Welcome to your new boat, and to our little forum.  People on here will be more than happy to help, if it's not already documented in the Technical Articles or previous posts.  Enjoy.

There's a hazing ritual for new members that involves painting "FNG" on the side of your hull for a season.

Ur just dat smart, ....like many of us. Yes, B O A T means Bring Out Another Thousand, but messing with boats is what we enjoy.  Keep asking questions, include pictures as they are worth 1000 words.  Am on my fifth Catalina, and can't wait until 2020 season begins.  Dam long winter in La Crosse County, but given what ur dealing with,I better shut up...
