The Science of Headsails

The November 2015 issue of Practical Sailor has a very interesting article ("The Science of Headsails, Part II") wherein they asked 5 professional sailmakers (North, Quantum, UK, Neil Pryde, and Port Townsend) about their recommendations regarding a set of headsails for "a hypothetical client who owns a venerable Catalina Mk1 and is looking for new headsails(s)."     Nice to have our model boat used for the hypothetical, and worth reading -- not that we're about to spring for a new set and configuration, but the article offers some ideas from different sailmakers on suggested mixtures of genoa, jib, storm staysail, drifter, gennaker, and each sailmaker's thinking/reasoning behind their recommendations.
