First nice sail after refit.

We just took a cruise down the Cal coast from San Pedro to Oceanside, spent 2 days in Oceanside with a raftup (big fun) then took 2 days to come home.

The Sail down was uneventfull but we did see lots of dolphins. and it took about 9 hours sailing time, 6 under sail, 3 motoring.

Then we stayed at the OYC guest slip Friday night, then joined the raftup Sat and Sun.

We then left Sun for Dana Point in BIG heavy seas, (20 ft) and on our bow. We motored the whole way spending about 4 hours to get from Oceanside to Dana Point, (about 20 KM) and the Dana Point West YC gave us a great slip to stay at for the night.

Monday we sailed back to San Pedro taking about 5 hours under sail, stange to sail north but it was great, about 8-10 kts winds, 4-6 kts boat spead. Saw lots more dophins.

I am happy to say that the only mishap was we did not stow the Coffee pot well and broke it.

Other than that it was big fun.

Looking forward to doing more Yacht club, marina hopping!
