I just got my new rating from PHRF-NW. I am at 156. Wing keel, standard mast, 3 blade Maxi-prop. I pay a 12 second penalty for the size of my assymetric spinnaker.
Our C34 Fleet here on SF Bay has enough boats to be a one design class in many races, we sail in winter and summer series. We also have our own National Regattas every four years or so, and in between every September we have our own "C34 SF Cup Regatta" with separate racing and cruising divisions. We've developed our own PHRF ratings for our class, which are somewhat different than what we'd get from the local YRA. The local C36 Fleet does more cruising, I'm not aware of them doing racing like we do. Many individual C36 sailors do race here in a variety of venues.
I am a PHRF 144 - MKII, Tall Rig, Fin, 3 blade fixed.
