Hello Everyone;
I am looking for a way to close the interstice/space which exists between the mast and the roof of the cabin;. It seems to let the cold air pass through . In winter being a live aboard, it is an inconvenience. I have a mast boot on the topside , but it is not enough.
I had found somehwere on the internet a gentleman sailor who had built two wooden semi circle which could be joined around the mast. he even had a diagram and a file you could download. Does anyone knows if anyone can source such piece of wood or the diagram?. I would try to build one along the same specs. Thank you for your time and help. you can email me at Pierrickcacao@gmail.com if you find the file. I will reward you with chocolate bars :). from Vintage Plantations chocolate. My little chocolate lab.
Happy holidays
Google "Spartite" and you'll find some better solutions than a wooden collar

Have you tried with Armaflex instead of filling the gap with wood cover? Your mast-boot should keep the rain/water away anyhow.
