I believe that my Catalina 36 head sail (135 RF) calls for a 7 oz cloth.
I have located a used 8 oz sail that would fit my rig. Sad to say, but all I do is day sail on the lower Chesapeake Bay. No cruising, no racing, but enjoy what I do. How big a detractor would this heavier sail cloth be for me keeping in mind how I use the boat. I know that it would not be that great for light winds, but when that happens, I'm heading back to the dock anyway.
Comments please.

Domani,
I would guess that you would not notice the difference.

My guess is the same as Tom's. Enjoy your 'new' used sail.
