My name is Blair, and i am a new member to the C36IA.
I am currently a power boater, but am leaving the dark side to become a sailor.
I joined this association to learn more about the C36.
I am definitely going to buy a Catalina, but not sure on whether to buy the 36 or the 38.
Laura responded to my application with quite a few informative e mails, and very useful survey advice.
She also informed me that she would send me the latest copy of Mainsheet Magazine, which she did. She also included issues from last year too.
Thank you Laura for your time, valuable information, and advice.

We're slightly biased Blair, but we think the 36 is one of the best production sailboats ever built. It just doesn't seem to have anything bad about it and is one of the prettiest sailboats around. As you've already found out, this group is a top drawer resource as well and with older boats that's really important.
We like all Catalinas, we just like the 36 best. Welcome to the light side!
Bud and Suzanne,
Thanks, i agree.
I'm definitely going to buy a Catalina. I just don't know which one.
It is between late model 36 and 38.
